And how it gave teenagers a sense of differentiation from others, and also helped people express themselves and there culture, verbally and emotionally instead of physically. For instance, the birth of rock coincided with the Civil Rights movement and brought "race music" into many white homes for the first time.

A got a lot of information from this site. It tells about how the hard times a the African Americans have been put through during the 1900's, inspired that form of music. And a lot of artists began to address racial and political issues. This is a very good secondary source because it and backs up all its information with facts.

Blues music made a huge impact on not only on the African American culture, but all over the world. Although the blues came from hard, negative times, it made a huge positive impact in the music culture. It inspired many different genres of music, like rock and roll, punk, hip-hop, and jazz.
